Our fleet of buses serves our families child care and daycare transportation needs
Safety First Keeping your child safe and secure is our #1 priority. That’s why Kids 'R' Kids Orlando in Avalon and Waterford goes the extra mile when it comes to transportation. Each bus in our fleet of three undergoes a thorough annual professional inspection and is visually inspected weekly. All buses are late model school buses, equipped with seat belts, air conditioning, a stereo and first aid kit. Best child care practices extend to our transportation system, too. Drivers Our drivers are over age 25, have an annual physical, hold a current 1st Aid and CPR certification and have a clean driving record. An attendant is on board whenever “Joy”, our 54-passenger bus, leaves the center to assist the driver with the children and ensure that everyone travels comfortably. Procedure for Loading/Unloading The Kids 'R' Kids procedure for loading and unloading the bus ensures that everyone is accounted for. A “head-count” is not good enough. Our drivers use their roster to check each child on and off the bus, and then a manager checks the attendance and signs off on the transportation log. When picking up from an elementary school, we call you, the parent, if your child is not present. Generally, the parent forgot to notify us that his/her child was a “car-rider” that day, but on occasion the student was held back or distracted and was late. This is our “No Child Left Behind!” policy and it really works. FIELD TRIPS A child’s first field trip can be very exciting and a little scary for children and parents. Our boarding procedures and manager’s signature policy requires a level of integrity and discipline that you’ll not find elsewhere. Parent chaperones often comment on how impressed they are when they’ve seen our transportation team in action. BEFORE AND AFTER CARE TRANSPORTATION* Our buses currently drop-off and pick-up at eight elementary schools. In Avalon: Avalon Park Elementary, Stone Lakes Elementary, Timber Lakes Elementary In Waterford Chase: Camelot Elementary and Castle Creek Elementary In Cypress Springs: Cypress Springs Elementary In Waterford/Eastwood: Waterford Lakes Elementary and Sunrise Elementary *The times vary depending on the school schedule. Before School Care only is $58 After Care (Extended Day) $68 and Before and After Care $78 AVALON PARK Our new satellite center in Avalon Park is a transportation location for our Main Campus in Eastwood/Waterford Lakes. Children ages four and up can play and relax at this fun and energetic facility under the watchful eye of our well trained staff. Moms and Dads can conveniently drop off their daycare, Pre-K, VPK and Kindergarten students and we’ll safely transport them to the Enrichment Center at our Main Campus on Woodbury Road. The children love the opportunity to ride the bus, and Moms and Dads get a few extra minutes to themselves. School age children can enjoy the same great facility and catch up on homework or have a snack in the Kids’ Concourse while they wait for the bus or for Mom and Dad to pick up. Better watch out though; they might not want to leave!
